Copyright and Licence Policy Changes
Dear Authors and Readers,
We are excited to announce an important change to the copyright policy of Jurnal Kepariwisataan Indonesia: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kepariwisataan Indonesia. Starting from the 2024 edition, the copyright arrangement will transition to a more author-centric model.
Under this new policy:
-
Authors Retain Copyright
Authors who publish with this journal will retain the copyright to their work while granting the journal the right of first publication. The work will be simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License, enabling others to share and build upon the work with proper acknowledgment of the authorship and the journal's initial publication. -
Non-Exclusive Distribution Rights
Authors may enter into additional agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., sharing it in institutional repositories or republishing it in books) as long as proper acknowledgment of the initial publication in this journal is provided. -
Encouragement of Open Access
Authors are encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal websites) before and during the submission process. This supports productive academic exchanges and may increase the visibility and citation of the work. For further information, see The Effect of Open Access.
This policy change reflects our commitment to advancing open access and fostering a collaborative and accessible academic environment. We believe this approach will enhance the dissemination of knowledge and benefit the global tourism research community.
